Ashley is from Millington, TN and is in her last year of pharmacy school at the University of Kansas. She is pursuing an ambulatory care residency in the Midwest for next year. She enjoys sleeping, cooking, and cuddling when she’s not working.
Peter is also from Bartlett, TN and is in his first year of teaching. He teaches biology and chemistry in Altamont, KS. Peter enjoys all things science and playing with their kitten, Tez.
Ashley and Peter met through a mutual friend at a church lock-in in 2002. They dated through high school. When he went to the University of Kansas to pursue a chemical engineering degree in 2005, she still had a year in Memphis to finish high school. The year apart was difficult for the couple, so Ashley began looking at attending KU and found they had a great pharmacy program. The next 5 years they spent together at KU. Peter graduated in December 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a teaching certificate. This year they are spending apart, with him working in Altamont and Ashley finishing her PharmD in the Lawrence area.
